This free demo application turns your webcam into a 1D barcode reader. It showcases the features of the EymBarcodeReader.ocx ActiveX control, which is available for licensing. This control performs all necessary processing to locate and read a variety of standard 1D barcodes and encoding systems from 2D image data. The supported protocols include EAN-13, UPC-A, ISBN, AEN-8, UPC-E, Code 128, UCC/EAN-128, Code 39, Code 93 and Interleaved 2 of 5. You may integrate this control within your own application (using Visual Basic for example) and decide what the source of the image data should be and what to do with the decoded barcode data.
